The kitchen in this 1890s house in Roslindale, MA had not been upgraded since the 1950s (see
existing photo). The kitchen by its position was also the entry point to the rear yard. Other
house improvements (new wall and floor insulation, new stairs to the rear yard, improving a
ground floor bathroom) combined with limited funds influenced Hargidon to recommend a
masterplan so that projects could be done over time as funds became available. The immediate
project scope consisted of the Kitchen renovation on a fairly tight budget.
